We all love a good candle and we all love a little me time. These two are even better when you pair them together for the ultimate self-care moment. Candles smell great but they can also be extremely helpful when it comes to feeling zen and calm, which you can never have enough of. We’re here to walk you through the perfect self-care day and give you some candle tips along the way!

Taking a bath any time of the day is a great way to reset, and relax. The type of candle that we recommended for this is a lavender or peppermint-scented candle. Adding this candle to the mix is a great way to calm your mind and make you feel like you’re having an at-home spa day! Using your favorite calming bubble bath is going to take this to another level, plus, the more bubbles the better!  

Get Your Favorite Meal

Getting your favorite meal or eating your favorite fruit, vegetable, or snack is a good way of letting your body indulge and treating yourself to what you like! Whether that is your favorite sushi spot, favorite pizza place, or your favorite snack, the sky's the limit! Take yourself on a date, take your food home, or cuddle up on the couch with your favorite snack! 

Meditate

If partaking in the act of meditation is something that you enjoy or something you think your body would enjoy, in particular, today is the perfect day to do it. Light your favorite eucalyptus or herbal candle and let your body relax into the floor beneath you. You will finish feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready for the rest of your self-care day festivities. Doing this in the morning is a great start to your day, and accompanying it with journaling will be the perfect pair.

Watch Your Favorite Show or Movie 

A lot of us take liberty in treating ourselves to watching our favorite movie or show or going through our YouTube home page, but eating your favorite food and watching what you like is a great treat-yourself attitude that will make you happy.

We have all heard of retail therapy, and treating yourself to a date to your favorite store and walking around is a great way to get your body moving. Getting yourself a little something to commemorate your self-care day is something that will make the day even better, plus, walking around and being in nature is a great way to energize yourself naturally. 

Self-care days can be done whenever you feel like your mind, body, and soul need to rest. It is okay to be alone and do whatever you like, and while it is great to be around others, sometimes we all need a little bit of me time to end or start a new week.
